Don't Fall Victim to This Critical Mistake in Your Martial Arts and Self-Defense Training
For most students studying martial arts and self defense training, there is a critical, life-threatening mistake that they're making. This mistake is so important that, if not corrected, you could find yourself worse off in a self-defense situation than someone who never studied martial arts and self-defense at all.
This critical mistake is part of what I call, the Karate-Myth. It, along with a host of other ""false-beliefs"" can not only render all of your hard work, study, and martial arts and self-defense training completely useless...
...It can get you broken, maimed, or killed in a real-world attack from a criminal attacker who isn't going soft and slow like your training partners in your martial arts or self-defense class!
And you know what?
Its not just a mistake that students are making. This mistake is being made AND passed-on by so-called self-defense experts and martial arts black belts too!
Let's get something very clear before I let you in on my little secret. And that something is this...
...It doesn't matter_ * how well you think you know a martial arts technique, or...
* how good you are at doing that self-defense move in class.
All that will matter when the rubber-meets-the-road and you're face-to-face (or worse) with a brutal attacker who wants you dead is...
...CAN YOU DO IT THEN?!
You must realize something right now, and make no mistake about it. You must understand that, unlike most people in your life - unlike your mom, significant other, or fellow martial arts or self-defense students...
A real attacker:
* doesn't care what color your belt is
* doesn't care how many techniques you know
* isn't impressed with the names of the people you've studied under
* isn't going to help you do your technique correctly like your friend in class does - and a ton of other things you might use to impress others with your skill and "knowledge."
He only cares about one thing and one thing only. And that one thing is crushing or beating you down and getting what he wants from you.
That ""thing"" could be to:
* win the argument you were having
* get your money
* get what you were protecting
* make a point or statement (as in the case of terrorism or workplace violence)
* make you suffer, or...
* take your life!
So what is this grand mistake? I think you have a pretty good idea by now, don't you?
The mistake I'm talking about is wrongly believing that training in either the martial arts or a self-defense class without the knowledge, understanding, and experience of what a real self-defense situation is like...
...will allow you to effectively defend yourself against a street punk with real knife, or a 280 pound drunk dock worker who has you in a bone-crushing bear-hug and squeezing the very life out of your lungs!
Don't get me wrong. I'm not suggesting that you go get into a bunch of fights, or walk through the worst parts of town looking to get mugged so you can get real-life self-defense experience.
But, you can at least make sure that the person you're training with - that you're learning self-defense from - HAS the experience and knowledge you need.
You must find a teacher, mentor, or master with real-world experience or your training will end up being like the "blind-leading-the-blind!" If you don't know what you need, you have to find someone who does. And, if you don't have the experience, you MUST find a teacher who does.
A street-fighting self-defense situation is not the time to find out that what you've been spending your hard-earned time, money, and effort on...
Doesn't work!
In a future article I'll be discussing how you can know whether the program you're in is worth anything or not - even if you don't have any real-world fight or self-defense experience. But, for now, you can do some basic homework by checking out some news stories and finding out what some of the common attacks are that you may have to defend yourself against.

Adjustment to a new culture
The first, and most important, thing to remember is that you are the only person your lady knows in the new country. This will require additional patience and understanding on your part, as some traditions, habits, and information might be completely new to your sweetheart.
A great plus will be to have your family and friends well aware of your decision to marry someone from abroad, and use their support in making your Russian bride feel more comfortable at the new place of life. Making all necessary introductions of people important in your life as early after arrival as possible will be a big plus - but make sure you give her a few days to get on schedule after jet lag and get comfortable enough for such activities. It is also a good idea to explain what is typical in your circle of family and friends - some people have a family dinner every evening to share the events of the day, others meet only at Christmas time, some people's friends can play a more important role in their life than family, etc.
The first thing you might want to do is give your lady a quick tour of the house, places visited most often (i.e. favorite store, restaurant, etc), or the nearest city/activity center (especially if you live outside of town). This will give her an idea of where everything is located and make her feel more comfortable with the surroundings. A tour of the house might seem like a trivial thing, but it is extremely important in making your sweetheart really feel like it is her home - sometimes, not knowing where trash bags or laundry soap are located can be frustrating, especially since most women are eager to take on responsibilities of caring for the home and creating a cozy place for the two of you.
Language adjustment might also be of consideration. Being immersed in a foreign language environment might be intimidating and unnerving for your lady, and it is up to you to make sure she doesn't feel completely lost.
I have personally known many women who moved abroad with hardly a few words in their vocabulary, but within a few months they were able to communicate with the people in the new surroundings. It is not a phenomenon; being in a foreign language environment shifts the mind into overdrive and practically forces a person to learn the language faster - your lady will most likely not be able to rely on translators, things will be easy to explain or show, and she will simply have no other choice! Television, music and support from other native speakers can be additional resources to help your lady adapt and learn the language faster.
If your Russian bride has any trouble with the language, you might consider having her take special courses. For example, most English-speaking countries will not only offer English as a Foreign Language classes, but will also arrange various cross-cultural activities - both of these can help build confidence and gain necessary knowledge and practice of a new tongue. They will also help her start making friends and acquaintances, who are in the same situation as she is.
Of course, even with a perfect 10 in English (or other language), there might be cases of misunderstanding, and getting up to speed with the native speakers will take time. This adaptation period (with or without language knowledge) will require from you patience and understanding. The most important thing is not to show the frustration you might feel from not being able to have proper communication. It is a good idea to learn a few words in your sweetheart's native tongue - it will make her feel more comfortable about being in the learning stages, and she won't be the only one making mistakes.
Once your lady is comfortable with the new home and environment, you might want to consider having a discussion with her regarding her activities and interests (if you haven't done so prior to her coming). If you both want her to stay at home, a great idea might be for her to get involved in community or charity work, or if you are both willing for her to work, she might look for a simple part time job before moving on to something more serious. The main advantage of this approach lies in finding you lady an activity to occupy her time, as well as providing great language practice, getting comfortable in the new surroundings without you by her side 24/7, building new contacts, and simply not having time to feel homesick.
Missing her home might also be something for you to consider and prepare for in advance. I would suggest that you give your lady the options of keeping in touch with her family right after her arrival - this will put her at ease, and help her battle homesickness better. It is a good idea to explain upfront, which communication means you would prefer for her to use (i.e. email is ok anytime, but phone calls are expensive, so they can be done a couple of times a month, etc).
When preparing for your sweetheart to arrive, you might want to buy her a small present - something that will be uniquely hers (a t-shirt, a basket with a toothbrush and some other bathroom trinkets, her own slippers, etc), and make her feel like she already has presence in your house.
Every person's cultural adjustment needs are different, but being observant and understanding will help both of you make this transition smooth to build a happy future together.

How to prepare financially for a job loss and unemployment
In the recent weeks and months we have all seen the reports and read the articles about the unemployment rate climbing at a staggering rate. We have also all seen the articles that regurgitate the same old information that has been around forever about how to prepare for unemployment. Things like, update your email contacts, save sample work to a disk, update your resume, etc, etc... That is something that most employees do on a somewhat regular basis anyhow. Unbenounced to the authors of those articles, and news stories, the days of working at one company your entire career are gone, and have been gone for several decades. Today's employees change companies more often, and the stigma of "job hopping" is just about extinct. So yes, keep your resume up to date, check with contacts you have made at your job, and keep copies of sample work, but don't expect that to keep you afloat when you do face that layoff.
The things that you need to make sure are in place are mostly financial. If your work history is good, and you are experienced in your profession, then you will more than likely find a new job. It's just a matter of how long that will take, and if you are financially ready for that amount of time. Everyone knows that you are supposed to have 4-6 months of savings for an emergency. Well, what if you used some of that savings for an emergency already? Medical co pays, deductibles, home repairs, they all take away from your savings, and also take a while to replace. And when it comes right down to it, do you really want to use all of your savings that you have worked so hard to keep, in the matter of 4-6 months while looking for a job? I sure don't. So here are some ways that you can get yourself prepared financially for a job loss or period of unemployment.
The first thing to do would be to check with your lenders, and see if they have a "skip a payment" option on any loans you may have. It is becoming much more common for lenders to do a holiday skip a payment, or have one available. That could help keep your credit rating from getting hit, and allow you to keep that much more money during your unemployment.
Next, pay down your credit cards as much as you can, that will keep your monthly expenses lower and help in the long run, even if you don't loose your job. It also gives you another source for an emergency fund if they are paid off.
Finally, look into some of the new Unemployment Protection Plans that are available in the US now. These types of plans are set up to pay the members directly with a monthly check if they loose their job and become unemployed. Unemployment or Job loss protection plans are generally paid in addition to any state unemployment benefits that you may receive. That is a really good thing, since the national unemployment check is only about $378 per week.
Hopefully you are reading this before you have come face to face with a job loss and unemployment, and you will realize that with today's economy, no ones job is safe, not even yours. Over 1.6 million U.S. workers have been laid off in the past 12 months; the best thing you can do is be prepared financially.

Goal Setting - Why is Goal Setting So Important?
There have been many people of ther years that swear by setting goals and they do it on a yearly, quaterly, monthly, weekly, and daily basis. Do they achieve each goal they set just because they set their goal? Are they more successful than someone that does not set goals? Why is goal setting so important and how can it be done effectively? Here are the answers and more.
First, you have to understand that just because someone sets a goal does not mean they will achieve it. However, because they set the goal there is a better chance that they will achieve it and there is a better chance that if they do not achieve it, they will still do better than they would have without the goal. Goals are one of the most important things to have in life, but you have to be reasonable.
If you are in sales or do anything of that nature, then you know all about goals. They can be very demanding on your time, your efforts, and your brain. This is good, though. As human beings we may not like to be challenged, but when we are challenged we thrive and we find out who we really are. If you set a goal for yourself and you have the determineation to chase after the goal, then you will probably get that goal sooner or later.
Second, you have to know how to properly set goals so that you can achieve them. When you do not achieve a goal or even get close to it, then you will lose some of your drive and some of your self confidence. This is not good. It is best to set reasonable goals that are not too low that they do not challenge you, but not so high that they are impossible to reach. Start off small and work your way up.
Last, break your goals down. Set a goal for the year, then break it down into quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily goals. It can be very helpful when setting goals that you add some smaller goals that are easy to achieve on a daily and weekly basis. That way when you get to cross them off you can see your progress and know that you are getting much closer to your ultimate goals for the week and year.

The Benefit of Feng Shui Consultations
If you re considering hiring a feng shui consulting service, it is definitely worth the time and money. The principles of feng shui encourage beneficial energy, balance, and harmony into living and work space. It makes sense that if you re spending a lot of time in these environments you d want them to be as comfortable as possible. Removing unwanted clutter, organizing, and rearranging space will help you be healthier, happier, and more creative. This new outlook attracts prosperity in every aspect of life, including higher self esteem, increased energy, feelings of empowerment, improved health, and an attraction to healthier relationships.
Before you hire a feng shui consulting service, it might be helpful to know the basics of ch i and what benefits occur when these principles are considered. There are 3 basic principles of defining ch i, which is the energy that makes things alive, connected to each other, and moving through the universe. All objects have living energy that is called ch i. This doesn t mean that your desk is a living thing; it means that the reaction you have to your desk makes it alive. If we surround ourselves with things that have positive ch i, as is encouraged in feng shui, we should have a greater sense of well being and a higher energy level. The second defining principle of ch i is that it connects every physical thing. This relates to feng shui in this way: if we declutter our home office, for example, we ll likely have a lowered stress level and heightened creativity. In turn, we ll probably be more kind and loving to our families which will improve those relationships. It s a chain of positive feedback. The third principle of ch i is that everything is constantly changing. Feng shui takes this dynamic quality of people and their lives into account, which is why surroundings need to change over time as the person does.
Feng shui encourages consciousness toward the various aspects of an environment. This consciousness is then channeled for the purpose of discovering what items in that environment aren t enhancing our lives. When these items are removed, the space is then opened up for energy to flow through. This energy flows through our work and home space and into our lives, as well.
You don t need a feng shui certification or various feng shui consultations to begin practicing the principles of feng shui, but it s definitely helpful to have at least one session with a feng shui expert. There are various books available on the subject of feng shui, but for consistent results feng shui must be studied seriously and thoroughly. Hiring a feng shui master will improve the energy in your environment, which will have vast benefits on the quality of your life.

Seven Tips on How to Provide Stress Relief to a Friend
We are living in a stressful age and many folks are having a hard time coping with it. Stress can creep up suddenly and unannounced, and is exceptionally hard on those who live alone.
You can do your part to provide some stress relief for a friend or acquaintance that you know is in a stressful situation:
1. Realize that most people suffering from stress don't want to show it or ask for help.
Instead of feeling offended at being snubbed, be alert as to the reason of your friend's gloomy attitude and show support. Making light of situations and displaying a positive attitude helps alleviate stress.
2. Look for warning signs of stress, or deeper depression that could be a result of stress.
Some telltale signs of stress are lack of appetite, a gradual drawing away from friends and family, absenteeism from work, extreme fatigue, lack of interest in hitherto favorite pastimes, and sudden changes in appearance.
Once you have determined that stress indeed is the reason for your friend's change in behavior, you are then in a better position to help relief the burden.
3. Assure your friend that you can be counted on as a true friend and will be there right to the end.
Keep in touch regularly to encourage and offer a listening ear. Assurance of friendship is very powerful and, until your friend is ready to acknowledge any tangible help, it may be all that's needed at that moment.
4. Provide a listening ear.
Being a good listener helps the stressful one to unload and look the problem square in the eye and come to terms with it.
5. Offer to do something tangible, like babysitting a single mom's child for a couple of hours of respite.
Very often the stress is due to being overwhelmed with too many tasks. Wherever possible, you can help your friend identify which heavy, time consuming or difficult task can be alleviated, delegated or even discarded altogether.
6. Invite your friend out for dinner, a movie, or a board game.
Especially for folks who live alone, it is important to get out and do some form of physical activity. This will help increase appetite as well, which is so vital. Keep the conversation light and uplifting.
7. Provide energizing nutrition
The stressful person generally has neither energy nor desire to cook a nutritious meal, eat healthy snacks or take nutritional supplements. If at all possible, depending on the circumstances, an important thing you can do is to provide your friend with an easy to take, pleasant tasting nutritional, high antioxidant smoothy or juice. This will bring spark back into the cells and help reinforce the zest for life. Stress maintenance and the immune system are interdependent. When you are stressed out, your immune system needs to be reinforced. The reverse is also true. That's where antioxidants come in. They are the immune system picker uppers par excellence.

Personal Goal Setting - What You Need To Know
Are you trying to set goals so that you can have a better life? There are a few categories that you can seperate your goals into. These include: career goals, education goals, financial goals, and personal goals. This article will talk specifically about personal goal setting.
The first step in setting goals for yourself is to figure out what in the world you want out of your personal life. If you are single, then maybe your goal is to find your mate, but not just any mate, of course. You would want to find the one that is right for you and makes you a better person.
Maybe your goals include some traveling. This means that you would have to map out where you want to go, how you are going to afford it, and when you will be able to go. The idea is to always have something to look forward to no matter what your personal goals are.
When we, as humans, have something to look forward to it gives our lives a meaning and allows us to be happier. This is why it is so important to take vacation time, make changes in our lives, and to continue to grow as people. When you set personal goals you are setting yourself up for growth.
When you are trying to figure out what you want out of your life you might want to sit down and write down all kinds of dreams and goals you have. Shoot for writing down 100 dreams and goals. This will be a bit difficult so do not leave out anything no matter how difficult or off the wall it may be.
Then, you will want to categorize these things into things you can do within a 10 years, within 5 years, within 1 year, and in the next 90 days. This will give you a good basis to start with and if some of your goals change over time that is okay. Just update your personal goal settings and move on.

Recipe For Success: Have The Successful Life You Can Be Proud of
Together with love and health, success is one of the most important dreams that people have in their lives. In order to achieve success however, you must exert considerable effort. In fact, the more effort you give, the higher your probability of attaining success in any area of your life.
The fastest way towards success is to have a constant supply of positive energy to propel you forward at all times. Of course, there will be bumps and brick walls along the way, but if you have a positive attitude, you will be able to overcome these challenges with no problem at all.
Benefits of Positive Thinking
Once you have mastered the art of positive thinking, practically everything will just fall into place. Not only will you be more capable of dealing with the challenges that come your way, but you will also be more in touch with yourself.
Positive thinking will enable you to view your life and your environment with much more appreciation. It will help you to see the good in every single thing, person and event around you. There is no doubt that there are a gazillion benefits that you can get from positive thinking, but the question now is how can you train your mind to focus on the positive side of things when you have become so used to dwelling on the negative in the past?
The Power of Affirmations
Most people dream of being successful individuals but when opportunities knock on our doors, most of us miss them because of the clutter of negative thoughts in our minds. The fear of failure and lack of self-confidence are among the most common culprits that prevent us from achieving our full potential in life. Fortunately, there is something we can do about it, and that is to use the power of affirmations.
As obstacles pop up in your life the best thing you can do to is to learn and memorize positive affirmations to recite. These affirmations will boost your level of confidence and motivate you to get over whatever it is that is challenging you in life.
For instance, if you find yourself procrastinating about a task, tell yourself, "I am confident in my abilities and I am ready to be successful." These may not necessarily be your feelings at the time that you first say it, but eventually, you will be able to program your mind to believe it and your body will respond accordingly. Such is the power of self-affirmation.
The affirmations you come up with should be short and positive. Avoid words like never, can't and won't. Then memorize your affirmations so when you feel like your positive mental state is fading you can recite them right then and there.
Despite the apparent simplicity of these affirmations, do not underestimate the influence they can have on how you face the challenges in your life. In fact, people who regularly use affirmations attest to an improved overall quality of living. Your positive energy will be at an all-time high, making it much easier for you to achieve the successful life that you truly deserve.

Are You The Best Sales Person You Can Be?
The best sales people can sell anything to anybody. Can you? Are you aware of what all your customers and contacts are doing, and the big news and events in their industries? Do you help them as much as you could do?
Here are 10 ways to make you an even more effective sales person.
1. Do you believe that you re the best? Are you confident without being arrogant? If you think that you can provide the customer with what they want, then the customer is more likely to be convinced too.
2. Are you keen to get to the next step of the sales process? Do you set a date for the next meeting, or just say that you ll arrange a meeting? Do you offer alternative products, when faced with objections, or just accept that you re not going to sell to that customer? Effective sales people will always be looking to take the conversation a step further.
3. Do you understand the importance of developing new relationships and prospects? You can obtain the relevant information by keeping up to date with local or business and industry news as well as through events and networking.
4. Do you know the methods used by other successful sales people? Asking colleagues or learning tips from other sources can help you to improve you conversions and exceed your target.
5. Are you ever caught out by questions or answers? You can reduce the risk of this by being able to anticipate responses, so that you are never taken by surprise. This can include obstacle handling as well as product knowledge.
6. Do you know what your competitors are doing? How are you better than them? If you know what your competitors are doing, you know how to be better than them.
7. Do you keep in regular contact with your customers? By letting your customers know that you re still around, and are available to help them, they are more likely to remember and recommend you, even if they don t want to buy anything.
8. Do you use all the resources in your company you have at your disposal? Bringing people with relevant skills and expertise into a meeting is likely to make an impression on your potential customer. How often do you ring up manufacturers or suppliers on behalf of customers? Even if you can t give them the answer they want, they are likely to be impressed that you tried.
9. Do you take the time to learn your products inside out? You might be able to answer most questions, but do you know the features and benefits in layman s terms, or in detailed terms? If you sell computers can you explain how a faster processor is better? Or if you sell houses, do you know all about the local schools, bus routes and supermarkets?
10. Do you have a customer profile? In the same way that a customer will have a list of requirements for the product or service they are interested in, successful sales people often have a customer profile. This helps to ensure that you don t waste time on the wrong sort of customer. You can profile your perfect customer and ensure that your customer meets all of the criteria before you sell to them.
If you want to improve your sales figures, why not incorporate a tip a day until it becomes second nature?

Personal Growth and Transformation Can You Bend in Times Of Crisis Or Do You Break?
Lessons for self-empowerment frequently come from Mother Nature.
While driving along the highway, my husband and I noticed many trees were broken and some were deeply uprooted. There were high winds that had blown through the area over a period of 24 hours. Even power lines had come down.
Once again nature had provided a great analogy for humans and our daily life.
The first discipline of personal growth and transformation is to recognize that we must change and that change consumes time and energy and often brings discomfort.
Now why is it that some trees remained standing, though they were shaken up and they had lost most of their leaves, while other trees were uprooted and broken? I believe it is because of the way their root system is laid out underneath the visible - no different than what really lies beneath the human physical appearance.
When you are going through life you will experience some storms, you will have winds blow through. You may in fact be experiencing some of that in your life right now. What can you learn from it in order to increase your personal power?
Some individuals can move through a crisis or a major change and come out of it still feeling whole and stable, and be emotionally well. While others come out of the experience feeling emotionally broken and have a hard time coping with day to day activities. They feel they cannot go on with life and lose all motivation.
I believe it is due to their thought systems and belief systems. The inner mind chatter that is going on also impacts their ability to cope.
The burning desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential - to live your purpose, these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal mastery!
If you are currently under going a stressful situation or a major challenge you may in fact want to examine your belief systems and your thought patterns. They the time to see if these are actually assisting you or if they are keeping you so firmly entrenched in what you think you know, that in fact they are preventing you from swaying and bending and moving with the flow of life.

Empowering Beliefs - In the light of creation
It's amazing isn't it? About 7 months ago I released a major limiting belief and things have only gone forward from there. Both professionally and personally.
As Denis Waitley stated once: "Our limitations and success will be based, most often, on our expectations for ourselves. What the mind dwells upon, the body acts upon".
Having released that limited decision, it enabled me to create momentum for my dream. A dream that s coming true every day, well almost everyday, of my life. And the momentum will carry me to where I have the desire to go. Some call it stepping up others calls it doing what need to be done.
But how often don t we limit ourselves through our programming. Through the events that we engage and the decisions we made upon those events. Decisions about ourselves, other people and the world we live in. And after a while those decisions become thick threads running through our minds. Threads like: I am not able to do that , I can t do that , I am not worth it , I don t deserve it and so on. In my case&..
I had made a limited decision ( unconsciously), a long time ago, that I wasn t able to set up a successful coaching business AND being a good dad and husband. That was my reality. So it showed up in my actions. And guess what I didn t pull it off. Nor was I really able to be a good dad and husband.
And during that period it was actually not a possibility to have both, a successful business and a being a good dad. Now that I released the decision and turned it into a AND AND belief I have a very different reality. With AND AND, I mean being a good dad and husband AND a have a successful coaching & training business.
I am having much more fun now being a dad and husband. And the funny thing is that within 7 months I created a successful coaching business with enough satisfied customers to pay my bills.
Isn t that great. By changing your belief, changing your reality. And actually get what you want.
Maya Angelou once said: A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song . The most important question you have is the answer is to your destiny, your calling, your song or whatever name you give it. Once you found that song, you can sing it wherever you are.
And then you align your beliefs with your song. By doing that your actions will align with your will and the things you really want will appear in your reality.
It all sounds quit simple. And it is. As long as you know where to look and how to eliminate those limited decisions. And that s what where Neuro Linguistic Programming and Systemic work comes in. These modalities allows us to create awareness and transform limiting beliefs into empowering ones.
Oh and by the way, having done that doesn t mean that everything will run smoothly from then. No, along the way new limiting beliefs will come up as well as new significant events that, by the way you deal with it, might have a limiting impact on you. And then the process starts all over again.
But as long as you know your song and deal with what s keeping you away from singing that song, you re living your dream. So what s your song?

What Comes After The End
A new beginning always comes after an ending. We are on the threshold of a new awareness in human evolution. All the periods we have gone through have brought us to this place in time. Currently we are experiencing the ending of religion and the industrial revolution. They have taken us as far as they can.
We were taken in by the promise of peace on earth, good will to man, more leisure time to spend in relationships, recreation, and learning. None of these promises have been realized and it is obvious that neither of these systems will take us there. They have brought us to the precipice where it's time to change direction or take the final leap.
A box that is built from the outside-in can take you nowhere; because there is nowhere to go. Every box eventually runs out of energy; and for those who have built the box and gathered together the people in it; their last words of denial will fade as the box is emptied and collapses in on itself.
Four thousand years of religion gave people hope for a better future. But it has failed because it is based on promises not action or something observable, and it is controlled by those who would benefit the most. It was built into a very tight box that gave no room for growth, and eternal damnation for those who apposed. Religion was never designed for intellectual people. It was sold through fear, because its promises could not be manifested or observed in this world. This life is the time and place where any belief system needs to prove itself. This is where the benefits need to be realized. We are spirit having a physical experience. We are not here to be spiritual, and this is where it all counts; where it's needed the most.
A few hundred years of industrialization has enslaved humanity in the pursuit of buying what they have built, with little time to enjoy the benefits of the machine. It is the machines who are enjoying the benefits as they interact with each other, while we humans slave away to support them. It, like religion was sold to us. The promise of more free time and less labour has not materialized. The collapse of world markets and the monetary system is inevitable. In the game of monopoly, the objective is to own it all and along with that goes the bank. It is a dead end road. If one owns all the money it becomes worthless and there is no one to play with. Money only has value when it is spent. It is another box that is doomed from the beginning.
The only worthwhile box is one with a door and a window. An open system brings in new life, energy, and there is continuing growth. Take out the door and window and life is absorbed by the darkness. Every step must lead to the next and the path must be clear. Every idea must die and be replaced by another. It is what we do; we are creators and there is no other purpose for our being. We are either creators or victims, but even in our victimhood we are creators of a greater picture of which we are willing supporters. We die when the idea dies unless we are willing to see through the window and walk through the door before the idea has run its course.
Has it not occurred to you that humanity moves very slowly in physical time and space? For thousands of years we have lived very simply. Up until just over 100 years ago, we lived primitively; using crude tools, using fire to light out homes and streets. We rode horses and used parchments or other people to communicate our thoughts to the rest of the world.
What happened in the last 100 years, where did all this new technology come from? How did man become so smart so quickly? There are people still living on dirt floors and drinking water from polluted streams with no light in their huts. At the same time and space there are people watching TV, flying in space ships, and using computers to communicate with each other and their machines. Have you noticed that something is happening, and happening very quickly? Are you not the least curious? Do you know why this is happening?
There are thousands of people who are feeling the change. Is it just coincidence that in this same time frame there have been intuitives, artists, and writers who have noticed these changes? Are they alarmists or is there something to what they have to say. The change is real and it is observable; so something is different whether we choose to accept it or not.
The world is changing and we hear that all the time. But what does that mean and who is driving that change, and where is it all going?
It simply means that the dinosaurs are dying off. Those who would not change will be no more. Those who have a vision for the future will be part of the change. The world is changing because people's thoughts are changing. It is not God or anything outside of ourselves that will create the new world. The world is the way it is now because of our thoughts and how we imagine it. Imagination is the inspiration for change. At some time we imagined the world as round with other continents and people and we demonstrated that. At sometime we imagined that we would sail into the skies and we created the ability to do that. We imagined other worlds and travelling into space and we are doing that.
Our thoughts about whom and what we are in relation to our environment brings about changes in it. We are creators; that is our sole purpose for being. If you insist on thinking so, then it was God who gave us this power. He gave us dominion over the earth and its beasts. However, in an enlightened state we know that we and God are the same thing; we are God having a physical experience.
In this state of change it will be the enlightened ones who determine our next step in evolution. It will be you and I who have imagined a better world, who will create it. It will be a world that is based on what works and what does not work; not right and wrong, good or bad. It will be created not by our five senses alone, but by our psychic abilities as well. In the new world there will be no need for the things we used in the past. We will have greater awareness of our own ability to create on demand what we want and what we want to experience. This world will have no need for money, conflict or war. There will be a higher regard for our environment, and no need to horde abundance as what we want will be created on demand by ourselves, by using our creative abilities to manifest it.
All these things are possible and within our present ability to create them; unless you think not. And if you belief not; you will experience not.
Imagine your world; think about what you want to experience. Be creative and intelligent about what you really, really, really want. It is those who can do this; who will be part of it. Every one of us already know what we want. It is the bottom line, the root of our desires that will create them. Is it happiness, security and freedom or is it things, guns and parent figures which we now have that we think we want to bring with us? Those must all be left behind; it is what we already have experienced that we want to move past. Old ideas will not build a new future.
This life is only one of many that you have already experienced and will be your step into a new future that you will also experience. Why not imagine it in your mind now. You are part of a process that creates worlds and universes. The world is the way it is now, because you are part of it. Take away one ingredient out of a recipe and it becomes something else. Every time someone dies or is born the world changes. You can change the future by changing the past. Imagine the future then return to the past to create it.
You are not as insignificant as you may think you are. Presently there are 6 billions minds experiencing the earth in 6 billion different ways. Your future will be likewise. Create your world now; don't wait for someone to give it to you. New experiences cannot be created using old thoughts. Move out of the box. Plan your creation, and have it ready for you when you return and are prepared to move in.
Your time has run out. Think about what has happened over the last 100 years; things are moving quickly now. You must prepare using a different thought about whom and what you are. You are God; how would you create your new world. If it is lasting happiness that we all want, then how would we demonstrate that happiness? Be intelligent about it; for instance we know that wanting money and getting it, does not bring us happiness. We may get it under unhappy circumstances and may not live to enjoy it. Think about what you really want; the money or the happiness.
Remember the words of Albert Einstein "You cannot solve any problem in the same state of consciousness in which it was created."

Personal Empowerment - How Can You Use The Strategy Of Pivoting To Your Advantage?
Your thoughts will either spiral you upward and assist you in feeling good or if they are not kept in balance they will spiral you downward, and make you feel not so good.
On a particular morning this summer I experienced a series of small events that could of put me into a downward spiral if I had left my mind have a party at my expense.
My first challenge that morning was when I checked my e-mails indicating that the site I was sending folks to in order to view a video had no video. I thought that was rather curious so I checked the hosting site where I discovered that not only was the video not to be found, but that furthermore my account was no longer valid and all of my videos were gone. I thought there has to be a reason for this and told myself
Just remain calm Lynette and know that there is something to be learned from this technology glitch.
Another hour went by and my 20 year-old son got up and proceeded to cook breakfast for himself and went off to work. When I made my way back to the kitchen, I discovered he had left much of his stuff lying around dishes, newspaper and so on.
Do not get me wrong I love my son dearly and 9 times out of ten he is extremely responsible. He is an excellent young man and more mature then most 30 year olds I know. Yet, this morning when I saw the stuff lying around I thought Am I letting too many things go by? Now you can see my thought pattern already having the potential to spiral downward.
More time elapsed and the mailman came to the door. I quickly checked the box as I was expecting a check for tens of hundreds of dollars. Actually the funds should of been there a few days earlier, and I was counting on that money for a particular project. Still, it was not there.
At that moment, I was thinking I could actually let myself have a not so good day with one negative thought leading to another negative thought. Instead, I told myself Lynette this is a good time to practice the strategy of pivoting that Esther and Jerry Hicks - in their book Money and the Law of Attraction have taught you.
As you look for a better-feeling way to approach whatever you are giving your attention to; as you continue to ask yourself, from your ever-changing vantage point, "What is it that I do want?" eventually you will be standing in a very pleasing place for you cannot continually ask yourself what it is that you do want without your point of attraction beginning to pivot in that direction . . . The process will be gradual, but your continued application of the process will yield wonderful results in only a few days. Jerry and Esther Hicks
So I decided to go out for a walk and pivot to change those thoughts so that each thought could lead to another better feeling thought; to reach for that better feeling place, and get to that feeling of relief.
To practice pivoting, I threw on my track shoes and off I went, and consciously chose my thoughts. The following thoughts flowed through my mind, and I told myself the following things:
I love the thought that I will learn something new from this computer glitch. I love the thought that there are people who can answer my questions and help me learn more about technology. I love the thought that my son is very responsible and cleans up after himself 9 times out of 10. I love the thought that the mailman comes everyday and I will have that check in my possession very soon. I love the thought that my husband wanted to come out for a walk with me and get some exercise. I love the thought that the sun is shining and the sky is a beautiful blue. You get the picture&
And before long, I had walked for 40 minutes gotten some much needed exercise but more importantly I was feeling much better. I was now able to sit at my desk get refocused and proceed with the days tasks. I felt settled, calm, and ready for a very productive day.
So next time you are feeling out of sorts during the day try pivoting your thoughts. Choose to focus on a better feeling thought and then reach for another better feeling thought. One good thought will lead to another better feeling thought.
First thing you will know, you will be feeling fine and you will be in a position to trust the process. You will become aware that all is unfolding as it should. We know everything happens for a reason.

Stress Management: Massage Chair Therapy Is Great Stress Management Tool
Stress just seems to be part of our lives like eating and breathing. There are more demands placed on us over shorter time periods than perhaps ever in the history of mankind. In the days of old, stress was usually from physical danger. If you were a pioneer for example, then the seeing of indians would definitely cause stress as the pioneer surely feared physical harm. This type of stress is called the flight or fight reaction. However, in modern times most of our stress is mental and not physical. Yet our bodies have the same reaction to mental stress as they do to physical stress.
When we come under stress our bodies prepare us for action in the following ways: Adrenaline is released to boost the energy and strength of the body. This increases our heart rate and breathing. Our major organs will direct their efforts to only those that immediately serve supporting physical action. This adrenaline rush causes us to feel tension and perhaps nervous as we anticipate taking some type of action. There is a great release of chemicals and a redirection of bodily activity to support our reaction to stress.
Stress management is learning how to cope with stress, redirect its energy and release it from the body. We may not be able to eliminate stress from our lives, but we can have strategies to deal with it positively. If you could take the heightened affects of being under stress and put it to positive pursuits, then we are working stress management. The toughest element of stress management is to release it physically.
For those of us under stress at work or otherwise, we may not have the physical outlets that can effectively release this built up stress. Massage therapy is an excellent method to counteract the build up of these mental stresses. Massage therapy helps to relax the muscles by loosening them up. It helps to reduce the toxin build up in muscles and tissues. Reflexology massage targets the major organs for relaxation via the trigger points in the hands and feet.
A very convenient alternative to going to a massage therapist is a massage chair recliner. These advanced massage recliners have massage therapies ranging from deep tissue, Shiatsu, sports massage, Swedish and many others. There are various benefits to each massage type and each may focus on particular benefits. They will all help relieve discomfort and tension. They all help your mind to relax. These treatments enhance the flow of the lymph system and the blood. Both of these systems filter out chemicals that build up in the body.
Massage therapy is a very effective tool to relieve and release stress in our lives. We may not be able to eliminate the causes of stress, but we can find effective tools to counteract its impact on us. Massage chairs offer tremendous convenience and access to regular massage therapy. They also have supplemental capabilities to enhance the massage experience. Some recliners have stretching capability for the shoulders and lower body. Some have music players to help your relax your mind and body. You can find some with heat that can be applied in specific areas. All of these features are designed to help your body totally relax.
If you are feeling stressed, then just imaging taking a quick 20 minute power massage. Relieve the build up of stress and anxiety. Release the tension in your neck, back and shoulders. Give your mind a chance to be free from the tunneling affects of a stressful situation. This can be a powerful stress management tool in the comfort and convenience of home to better manage your stress. Life becomes much more manageable with your own massage chair recliner.

Is Donald Trump 100,000 Times Smarter Than You?
Well, he must be, right!? After all, Mr. Trump is worth more than two BILLION dollars. That's being about 100,000 times wealthier than most people are worth. So can this be true? Is he THAT smart?
Donald Trump is undoubtedly a very clever man. But is he 100,000 times smarter than you just because his financial worth is about 100,000 times more? No, absolutely not. If he were this intelligent, he would have an IQ of 10 million! (the average IQ being 100).
Currently, the highest recorded IQ of anybody is somewhere between 160 and 200. So let's say that he has an IQ of 160 (I don't know, it's just a guess on my part). If this is the case, our math would be:
Average IQ = 100
Average financial worth of U.S. citizen = $100,000 (frighteningly it's actually a lot less, but I'm being generous for the sake of the math!)
Therefore one IQ point is equal to $1000 (that's 100,000 divided by 100). Donald Trump's IQ = 160 (for the sake of argument).
Therefore, using the logic above, Mr. Trump must be worth only $160,000. But he ISN'T!
As you can see from this, intelligence CAN'T be the main factor in making a lot of money and enjoying a great lifestyle! So what is? What is the main ingredient in the recipe for making money? What is the difference between the Donald Trump's and the Bill Gates' and the Warren Buffets' and other people?
There are two main factors that separate people who constantly have success and those who continually work hard but get nowhere.
The first is that most people work for OTHER people. While this may sound obvious, just think about what this will mean to you. You will work for a SET-AMOUNT of money. That means that you have, at the very outset, LIMITED your potential income to the amount you've agreed to work for.
Okay, so if you're working for somebody else, WHY would they employ you? Why don't they just do it themselves? Simple: because THEY are the ones making the decent money! They are the ones who will retire early to their beachfront house, while their employees continue to sell their lives, hour by hour, for wages that more often than not, are barely enough to live on, let alone buy good medical insurance.
However, the internet and the World Wide Web have "leveled the playing field" in MANY ways. It is now possible for anybody (that means YOU) to start a business, from home, that can generate thousands, tens of thousands and HUNDREDS of thousands of dollars.
So what is the other key ingredient to the recipe for success?
Well, the second major difference between constant success and constant failure, is that the success-minded person realizes that they can be hugely successful just be being SLIGHTLY better than their competition.
Tiger Woods is only SLIGHTLY better than his competition. A winning horse and jockey are only SLIGHTLY better than the other racers. The same goes for ALL other "winners". They are NOT super-human, they are just human. But they ARE just slightly and CONSISTENTLY better than their nearest competitor.
Now, although you may be thinking you don't have the time to build an online business, because you have a full-time job, starting an internet business isn't really very time-consuming. It's a very low cost start-up (no buildings to lease, no employees to hire etc.) and it can make huge returns.
You just need to take the time, every evening and a few hours each weekend to get things rolling. Learn, apply what you learn and start making some real money.
Spend your time on what REALLY IS important, not what your employer thinks is important. It's a matter of tipping the balance into YOUR favor! Give YOURSELF the winning edge!
If you don't know where to start, there are some ideas on my website. Feel free to have a look at your leisure.

* get your money
* get what you were protecting
* make a point or statement (as in the case of terrorism or workplace violence)
* make you suffer, or...
* take your life!

New Cure For Excessive Sweating
Stop Sweating & Start Living... New Cure for Excessive Sweating Could Boost Your Work Productivity A new study has confirmed what has already long been considered truth by many - that suffering from excessive sweating can negatively impact a person s work performance.
According to the International Hyperhidrosis Society, a recent study presented at the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting in San Francisco indicates that employees suffering from hyperhidrosis "were limited in performing physically demanding tasks 25 of the time, in time management 17 of the time."
The study goes on to say that "these rates of workplace limitations are similar to those experienced by workers suffering from depression, osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis." The study estimated overall work productivity loss due to hyperhidrosis is "4.9 of those who have tried it, Ramsey said.
Ramsey's process is made up of three simple steps, takes less than 30 seconds a day to complete and relies on readily available and inexpensive products.
Ramsey says that the process is easy to incorporate into your morning or evening routine, and guarantees that it will keep a person's underarm sweat problem away for the rest of their life!
Like many others with hyperhidrosis, Ramsey first began suffering from it in high school and over the years has tried just about every treatment he could think of to get rid of it or at least keep it under control: from using dozens of different antiperspirants to applying antiperspirants several times a day to wearing undershirts to soak up the sweat before it reached his outer shirt to changing clothes several times a day to holding his arms up in the car so that they were aligned with the air conditioner vents to using a device that pushes electrical currents through the skin and much, much more.
'At the time that I came up with this cure, I was working in an office eight to ten hours a day where I was surrounded by and interacted with colleagues continuously,' Ramsey said. 'In this environment, I was constantly concerned about my underarms -- a distraction that caused me to lose hours of productivity every week. My self-esteem and self-confidence, which were already low, plummeted even further.'
Ramsey went on to say. 'After years of pain and struggle, using the method I created I was able to cure my excessive sweat problem naturally in just two weeks, and was finally able to start living worry-free again.'
'This technique has proven to be highly practical, safe and effective and it s worked quickly for me and for hundreds of other people who have read my book and tried it,' Ramsey said.

How to Find Your Passion
By Annette Estes
We hear a lot these days about how to find your passion and follow your bliss. Its easy to find your passion. You do it by understanding your values, which determine your attitudes and how you value (positive) or judge (negative) the issues, situations, and people in your life.
Thomas Leonard, the founder of CoachU and Coachville, once said that when were feeling satisfied our needs are being met and when were feeling fulfilled our values are being met. When you align your life around your values, you will find the happiness and fulfillment that may be eluding you now.
So what are your values? What are the passions that lead you to action and determine what you do with your life?
Eighty years ago, a psychologist by the name of Eduard Spranger identified six values or attitudes we all have to varying degrees of intensity. They are Theoretical, Utilitarian, Aesthetic, Social, Individualistic, and Traditional.
The two you rank highest in are your passions, numbers three and four are situational, and you will tend to have an indifferent or negative attitude toward people who are high in those you rank as numbers five and six.
The Six Personal Values
Theoretical. If this is your highest value, you have a passion for knowledge knowledge for its own sake. Your goal is discovery of truth and you believe everything must be rationally justified. You like doing research, reading, studying, learning. You believe as Frances Bacon did that, Knowledge is power.
Utilitarian. Your goal is utility and what is useful. You are practical and will maximize your assets. Your passion is a return on investment of your time, talent, or resources. You will enjoy a career in sales or become a CEO or an entrepreneur. You measure your success by how much money you earn.
Aesthetic. Your goal is to experience your inner vision. Your passions are beauty, balance, form, and harmony in all aspects of life. You like for things to run smoothly and may feel more stressed when faced with adversity than most people. You must be surrounded by beauty as you define it. You are profoundly interested in the arts and/or nature and may choose one as your lifetime career.
Social. This means humanitarian, not sociable. You believe service to others is the highest calling in life. You are compassionate and would give your last dime to a homeless person. You must have a career or lifestyle that provides you with opportunities to serve.
Individualistic. You are driven to use power and position to achieve your goals and advance your causes. Your passion is to control your own destiny and the destiny of others. Status and authority are important to you. You will be a captain of industry if your Utilitarian value is also high, or serve in the military or law enforcement if your social or traditional values are also high.
Traditional. Your goal is to search for and find the highest meaning in life. Your quest is a system for living. You believe in a higher order of life and consider yourself religious or spiritual. You like order and structure and need to do meaningful work that rewards quality service.
When we differ with the values of the people in our homes and workplaces, conflicts arise. In fact, I believe our most serious conflicts between people are the result of values differences. Just look at the rancor between those who identify themselves as liberal or conservative, for example.
A deep understanding of these six values and knowing which are your highest can help you in many ways. Application of this knowledge can help you choose a career or find work you truly enjoy; resolve conflicts with others and within yourself; hire, manage, or mentor others; achieve more personal growth; and decide which direction to go to be who you truly are.
